Tomorrow its Haylee’s party. Its getting nearer. Today its also a busy day from morning until night.

Morning I thought want to get the Influenza vaccine as it has been delayed since 20 June 2009 as the stock are always finished maybe due to the high demand as the swine flu are increasing so all the parents also want to get their beloved one protected. *sigh* another dissapointed trip. The stock its out again but this time the nurse will booked for us. Can you believe it vaccine also need to book.

Next I let Haylee have some nap before heading to my blood donation. *sigh* its another dissapointed trip also as the supply was over whelming; all the ‘bag’ were finished so I didn’t get to my turn. Wah nowaday  there are so many generous people…….

So the plan we went to Pudu to buy the goodie bag items. Total I’ve spent RM33.90 for 30 goodies bag. Then we went back to home and pack all the goodie bag. That was the final touch up for the celebration.

Last minute at night we found beaded tiara for Haylee :p

Initially I didn’t want to buy it coz Haylee doesn’t like to wear anything on her head but hubby said just buy it and let’s see what happend tomorrow.

Why can’t they show some support! They just like to turn things sour instead sweet! Or did I did anything that offence them? All the while I just keep quite and do my part and why they still always like to make my life miserable!

Izit so hard to show some family support and respect in others decision!

I should expressed it all out here otherwise I felt agitated the entire day until Haylee’s celebration.

Hubby informed (during the beloved’s daughter bday party, 31 July 2009) mil that Haylee’s bday celebration will be held on 9 August 2009, afternoon and ask her favour to invite the relatives since she is the elderly at home. As I have expected what she will say

‘Why hold it in the Hotel, why izit so expensive, why do it in the afternoon, no one will come in the afternoon party as everyone is working even on Sunday’

Mil always think ahead and concern for others. That’s her. Initially I wanted to hold it on Saturday coz nice date :p but I know she will said the same thing. *sian*

That’s on Friday.

Yesterday hubby follow up with mil – ‘Have you invited the relatives’ The answer given by her was totaly really shocking, dissapointing and unbelievable. Mil said

‘I don’t know how to invite, I don’t know how to tell the relatives, I don’t what to say’

Amazing and amusing right! So I was pissed off upon hearing that but as usual I just walk away from the scene and let hubby handle it. Well hubby was rather pissed off too with the answer and he was quite sad with his mother reaction. We felt mil was not happy and did not look forward for her granddaughter 1 year celebration. Well maybe we are not her favourite/priority and we don’t know how to ‘pat her back’ like what the ‘beloved’ is always doing.

During the dining session (Haylee, hubby and me), mil came and ask hubby whether booking fees has been paid or not otherwise just cancel it and book few tables for dinner with close families only. Furthermore, mil said no one will invite relatives to  attend and celebrate 1st year bday as the relatives are only invited for full moon celebration only. Mil commented that we always didn’t want to discuss among them and we just do anything we like. Straightaway I walk away with Haylee as I felt its all nuisance and I felt that she is jealous over her ‘beloved’.

Hubby convey the message back to me that, if we hold it in the hotel then no one will turn up for Haylee’s birthday celebration as everyone is busy. No one means the entire family tree as she strongly against this idea. At that moment I thought, I will be so ashamed on that day coz in-laws family didn’t show up and it reflects badly on me and my position in this family. Hubby was not happy either and I feel so sorry for him as his own biological mother didn’t support him.

As a supportive wife (even I’m very frustrated), I told hubby to invite the relatives yourself to show your sincerity and it don’t matter whether they turn up or not – just invite. Even if the relative turn up, surely they ask where is the in-laws and I will tell the truth and will not give face to them since they don’t show support and give face to us. They started it all!

Mil just doesn’t know how to respect others decision and be glad and blessed of what she has. She is a very typical MIL (dictator) who like control the in-laws and like to have the final word and decision in everything.

Even my wedding dinner venue and menu also she want to take control. That’s fine with me even initially I don’t feel comfortable with it as I wanted to hold the ceremony in hotel. Her reason was is for the convinience of the relatives as her ‘beloved’ also hold the ceremony here. Again must follow the beloved.

I hope not all in-laws are dictator! Even I have asked some old lady who has dil; they don’t mind the dil prepare everything and just convey the message and surely they will be supportive and glad. Moreover it’s the young generation time.

I still feel so pissed and disowned.

Anyway the party must go on and no one can fail this wonderful event!

Just receive the bunting that I ordered for Haylee 1st birthday. I found this supplier thru internet and the price (RM60 inclusive postage for 5ft x 2ft) are reasonable too.

The entire process was quick and it took like 1 week (business days) from proofing until I received it :p

The supplier was very friendly as there is an open online chat. They also welcome custom made design with no extra charge.

This was the first design but look like Haylee's hair are so fine. So I didn't chose this one

This was the 2nd design that I chose.

I have change my mind not using the paper bag as goodie bag; first is there’s no handle and the cost. Hubby said better to have handle (like ribbon or string) as it is more convenient. If I need to add on handle then additional cost and time will be incurred.

So today after work I go downtown to survey the goodie bag. Thank god I found it and I bought it straightaway. It’s a organza cloth with string so it matches with my requirement and it’s bigger and cheaper than the paper bag.

The paper bag cost RM1 (small size) and I paid RM26.60 (after 5% discount) for 40pcs of organza bag.

The goodie bag items will only be purchased on the last day which is on the 8 August.

So hopefully I won’t change my mind again.

Just confirm the appointment with the photographer. Yeah!

But have to top up another RM100 for the extra touch up soft copies. As the photographer refuse to release all the copies without touching up due to quality. So the total will be RM400……..

Their initial package was: -

1. Photoshooting covering the event of 2 – 3 hours 
2. 20pcs x 4R size printed and given back in album
3. 100 – 120 shots, touched up and given back in CD (which I don’t think its enough, that’s why I asked for upgrade which cost additional me RM100 for appx 400-500 shots)
4. Album & CD will be delivered / posted to you free of charge

I have survey online and the price are more or less the same but its a stranger. So I took this photographer thru recommendation……..

Just confirmed with the photographer got Haylee’s birthday celebration. Don’t know whether it’s worth hiring a photographer coz some say yes and some say no.

Anyway, it’s has been confirmed so just carried it on :p

This morning after my breakfast with hubby (before I go to work) and we still have 10 minutes so I wanted to stop by a warehouse shop that sells party supplies and junk food supplies.

After the visit to this shop, I was very surprise they have the things that I wanted at a warehouse price; it’s like a one stop shop. So now I know where to get party supplies.

One issue solved :p

Today suddenly I have that feeling to start planning Haylee first year birthday celebration. So we went to Ikano to check out the things coz I’ve seen it before there. I am very stunt when I check out the price as it is quite expensive to me but it will make the party a success one with the deco.

At least now I got some ideas what are the things that I need.

I am a bit nervous coz have not idea what I suppose to do. Luckily there are some friends to guide me and also the internet surfing. Then I found this checklist: - 

1. Set a date and time for the birthday party
   - Sunday, 9 August 2009 (most probably lunch time)
2. Decide on a location and make reservations
   - Hasn’t decided yet, still negotiating
3. Plan the menu and drinks
   - Will discuss and negotiate
4. Cake order
   - Already planned but hasn’t place any order yet
5. Create a guest list and determine size of party
   - My friends list prepared and 100 pax will be booked
6. Create a budget for the party
   - It’s hard to budget, just in control
7. Decide on a party theme
   - Care Bears or just bears (as the goodies bag is bears :p)
8. Goodies bags and supplies for ’small’ guests
   - Goodies bag supplies – still planning 
      - Lollipop
      – Stickers
      – Helium ballon tied on the goodie bag
      – Chocolates
      – Other junk food? :p
   - Goodies bag design will purchased the ready made one but I will design the wording on the bag (done)!
